What no one but the abandoned chaos seed knows is that he narrowly avoided the curse of the lich Singh, a curse that still hangs above his head. Sion, leader of the Mist Village, was left with only pain and regret as Richter was claimed by the abyss. The battle of the dead was won, but at a great cost. I bought the books during the holiday and just listened to all of them on the beach which is why I bought them all.The eighth novel of the internationally acclaimed Chaos Seeds saga.Ī mesmerizing tale reminiscent of the brutality of Goblin Slayer and the majesty of Game of Thrones.

How the author claims to be the father of American LitRPG with this work is beyond me. The characters are one-dimensional with no real depth. The humor is pretty much only about who has the largest male organ or other stereotypical male humor or pop-culture, which was funny in the beginning but on book 5 I was very tired of it. He makes some mistakes, but they have pretty much zero consequences for the MC as they are quickly forgotten. The MC also makes some horrible mistakes which is rare in these types of books The bad stuff(there is a lot) The MC is the OP kind that never really loses. There is some humor in the books, and the MC is OP(for those who like that). The city building is good, there is a level system which works and the magic is decent and just like a game. It stays consistent, has all the game mechanics and has a good variation between the different elements. A lot of the other reviews also agrees on this. One of the best I have heard, and as a listener of a loooot of books I think I have a solid opinion on that. The good stuff first: This series is a solid LitRPG(I have bought all the books). The Mist will claim you."Ī wonderful blend of humor and adventure, The Land: Alliances will transport you to the world of your dreams.and your nightmares. Their enemies are circling and the powers they have awakened are barely under their control.ĭeath and war are on their doorstep, but they have a simple message for the enemies of the Mist Village.
